Mel C. Marshall Industrial Consultants began in 1980 as a consulting company to the concrete industry. Mel Marshall had been involved in the concrete and steel industry for many years
and decided to use his experience to provide a service to the precast concrete industry.
Shortly after the business started MCM Sales had a couple offers to represent
companies that manufacturer concrete equipment. At the time this was a unique field;
most manufacturers employed sales people in some areas and handled lesser areas by phone.
Canada being so large and having a sparse population was certainly one of the lesser areas. The first few years were difficult, but as with everything, if the effort is made for long enough, you will usually see the reward.
The concrete industry began to grow through the mid to late 80’s MCM Sales became
very busy as well, more and more companies wanted us to represent them. We had to be selective of the companies we chose which resulted with an outstanding group of primarily family owned businesses.
Our relationships with all of the companies we represent have been long, and we truly feel like we are part of their respective organizations. There are links to these companies under Products. We are looking forward to our 27th year. Our hope is
